Restore the factory settings for the administration interface configuration and statistics on your Olfeo.

BACKGROUND

If you want to restore the factory settings for the administration interface configuration and statistics, you can do so with olfeo_reset.

The olfeo_reset script allows you to clean up databases by deleting the configuration (except for the network section) and the data displayed in the statistics menu.

Browsing logs in pgd format, located in /opt/olfeo/data/hits/, will be retained.

STEPS

Current limitations of olfeo_reset:

• Its execution is not interactive; it automatically restores the factory settings.
• Deletes databases containing configuration (policy, blocking messages, internet charter, users, etc.) and statistics without requesting confirmation before deleting the data.
• The "–help" option is not yet available; running the script with this option will delete the data.

⚠️ Actions performed by olfeo_reset are irreversible. We recommend that you back up the configuration from the administration interface before running the script.

Run the following command to clear the data:

:/# /opt/olfeo/bin/olfeo_reset

or

:/# olfeo_reset

VALIDATION

Once completed, the setup wizard will be displayed and the previous settings will be cleared.
