KB No. 25: Deploying the Olfeo agent via Intune
Background
The OLFEO agent can be deployed automatically on all user workstations using Microsoft Intune. This procedure requires administrator rights on your Microsoft 365 tenant.
Prerequisites
- Administrator rights on Microsoft 365 and Intune
- Intune Endpoint Manager licenses for all workstations affected by agents
- Synchronized & Authenticated Directory on the Olfeo SaaS Platform
- Corresponding user groups in Entra ID
Download the MSI package
Download the installation package available in MSI format from the OLFEO platform.
- Log in to your Olfeo platform
- Navigate to the Configuration menu, then Directory.
- Click on Download
- Select the desired format for your deployment (depending on the target platform).

Deploying the Olfeo application via Intune
- Accessing the Intune portal Log in to the portal: https://intune.microsoft.com/
- Go to Applications > Windows/MacOS Environment > Create

- Select the type of application Business application
- Click Select an application package and load the downloaded MSI file.


In the Application Information tab:
- Fill in the required information:
- Publisher: Olfeo (or your organization)
- Command line arguments: CONFIG_URL="$configUrl" (SeeSaaS Documentation)

In the Assignments tab:

- Required Section: Add the relevant computer or user groups
- ⚠️ Tip: For an initial test, start with the IT team only.

In the Check + Create tab:
- Verify that all fields have been filled in correctly, then click Create.

Tips:
Deployment can take between 5 and 30 minutes depending on the status of the workstation and Intune synchronization.
You can:
- Restart the computer to speed up policy recovery.
- Perform a manual Intune synchronization:
Windows Settings > Accounts > Work or school access
Select the account > Info > Synchronize
